SPRING PAPER PUPPET DOLL
Spring Paper Puppet Doll
Creative craft with Miss Daffodil
I really enjoyed making this spring paper puppet doll! It began as a coloring project before diving into making a pattern collection. It is always good to take some time to play with colors before creating a palette. But then I thought let’s share the doll! Whether you simply find coloring relaxing or you are an artist and have been feeling a little blocked in your creativity, this little craft will certainly spark some inspiration!
How to make the paper doll
First, download the FREE printable here and print it out on a heavier piece of paper. One that will hold the shape nicely once you cut the pieces out. Then paint the pieces with colouring pencils or watercolors or any favourite tool. I colored mine with watercolors in beautiful spring inspired theme.
Then cut the pieces out. One little tip – if you find the pieces weavy, place them on an ironing board, place a sheet of regular printing paper on top an iron over them (no steam!). This will make them nice and flat. Last step is to take a hand-sewing needle, thick thread and stitch the pieces together according to the dots. Right arm goes at the back, left at the front and the legs both at the back of the petal skirt. Voila!
