How to learn artistic skills

The simplest way to discover and grow your creativity!

About time that I shared with you how I learn artistic skills to run a creative online business - with SkillShare! Years ago I was convinced that if you don’t have a degree in design, art or some other creative subject, nobody will take your work seriously even if you tried. I am happy to say that I was wrong! Three years into blogging and making art online I learned that what you really need isn’t a degree. What you really need is a combination of sustainable passion and skills that are available online to everyone now!

Online platform where you can learn a ton of skills

What do I mean by these skills? Long story short - SkillShare! I can’t even begin to tell you how great this platform is. When I discovered it for the first time there were many creative ideas to explore. But since then I feel like the platform exploded with options and it continues to grow every day! I go back there literally every week, sometimes for a specific idea and other times to relax my mind.

SkillShare is amazing for several reasons, I’m sure some will resonate with you:

  • convenient: learning online from home so you can save time and money on travelling to a class
  • flexible: learning at time convenient for you (any mums here working around the kids - hands up!)
  • super-affordable: small monthly payment or an annual membership with great offers - like 40% off annual membership or 2 months for FREE!
  • learn from the best: many amazing and professional artists who not only teach what they know but also successfully live the life of a creative freelancer (learning from those who do have that degree and are willing to share their knowledge and bring it to your home - how amazing is that!)
  • discovery & growth: whether you already know what you’d like to learn more about or you’re still discovering what you enjoy - SkillShare will have an option for you!
  • potential income: the pandemic has affected all of us, in one way or another. Personally, I stay optimistic and focused by continuing to grow my skills, learning and expanding the potential to earn online. Making art is therapeutic and it can also earn an income because despite more careful money management - others are still interested in and purchasing art because that is the therapeutic part for them. One makes and the other enjoys the result. We all need to bring joy into our lives - isn’t that a complete WIN-WIN?

Are you ready to learn new creative skills for fun or to earn an income doing what you love? Join SkillShare HERE with 40% OFF annual membership!

I've always dreamed of working with textiles. There is such long known skill in sewing and stitching, one that gets passed on and takes you 150 years back to when one garment already meant a fortune. Made by hand, with all the imperfection and uniqueness of art that come with it.
