Easy Pumpkin Cake

Simply decorated for the fall season

It wouldn’t be proper fall without a tasty pumpkin cake! Baking is one of the great ways to use the pumpkin puree that I’ve made the other day. It gives this cake such sweet, hearty taste and it’s really so easy to make. You can of course buy a tinned one already made. However, making your own in a much healthier option. You can enjoy the process of baking as well as know what’s gone into your recipe! One medium home grown pumpkin, home produced eggs and a couple more basic ingredients. Anybody can make this easy pumpkin cake and it’s a lovely treat for any visitors! PLUS you can simply decorate the cake with some icing sugar and our FREE Printable cake decorating stencil design inspired by fall!

Pumpkin Cake

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Baking Time: 50 minutes at 180 degrees
Serves: 5

You’ll need:

• FREE Printable Cake Stencil
• 1 cup of pumpkin puree
• 3 cups of self-rising flour
• 3 eggs
• 1 1/2 cups of caster sugar
• 150g of butter
• 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
• vanilla extract (or a sachet of vanilla-infused sugar)
• icing sugar for final decorating

Instructions

Put the flour, eggs, sugar and pumpkin puree into a large mixing bowl. Then add the cinnamon, vanilla extract, soft chunk of butter and mix everything together thoroughly.

The last step is to decorate the cake! After you’ve left it to cool off, pring the FREE Printable cake decorating stencil on a heavier sheet of paper and cut out with scissors. Place the stencil on top and sprinkle over with icing sugar.
