Paper Origami Heart
Origami technique is one of my favourites. All you need is a sheet of paper (plain, recycled, textured, patterned, coloured) and fold it in a clever way to create various shapes. No glue or any other tools apart from scissors needed! The beauty of this paper heart is that you can hide a little message inside. I say that’s perfect for the Valentines Day! And not just the Valentines Day but birthdays, anniversaries, thank you gifts or baby celebrations too! You can make it in any colour and here is how!

Heart Napkin
Are you planning a special Valentines Day dinner? Fold the napkin in a heart shape in just a few seconds! Just like with the paper for making origami hearts, you can use any napkin you like. If you like patterned or coloured paper napkins, they will work great! And if you are a fan of sustainability and upcycle old cotton and linen, you can use fabric napkins too! Just follow the steps bellow!
Valentine Cherry Garland
Garlands garlands garlands! They just never get boring! This cherry garland is so easy to make and will look lovely by the fireplace, on the door or even laid down on the dinner table!
You’ll need:
- pink craft pompoms
- glue gun
- felt sheets
- thin leather straps or twine
- embroidery needle and floss (optional)
- scissors
Instructions
First, cut out the leaves for each cherry in a pointy ‘8’ shape as shown. You can embroider them if you like but this is optional. Then cut the leather straps/twine approx. 8cm long and tie a knot in the middle of the twine piece and the leaves. Lastly, use the glue gun to attach each strap end to a pink craft pompom. To create a garland, cut out a piece of twine as long as you would like the garland to be. Put one end through a large embroidery needle and run the twine through each of the knots on the cherries.
