As authors of Le cafe de maman we create handmade originals inspired by traditional craft, nature and the perfectly imperfect concept of wabi sabi. Our brand carries a mood of comfort, creativity and slow living. We offer our handmade products directly to our audience as well as collaborate with other brands with similar vision showing interest in offering our products to their own customers. We are able to offer larger quantities of our products for lower price and follow the conditions mentioned bellow.
All our custom order products (excluding one-off knit pieces) are processed post order placement. Order placement means an order sent to us and cleared in full before moving on to processing. Single orders can be placed via our website for a standard price, however larger orders are invoiced via PayPal for a discounted price. PayPal invoice contains information about our Terms & Conditions and needs to be cleared in full before the order can be moved on to processing.
Processing time of a single order is typically approximately two weeks post order placement. Larger orders can take longer to be processed and this would typically be discussed with each collaborator. We cannot provide an exact date, however we always try to provide a close estimate. We continually receive single as well as wholesale orders which are placed on a waiting list and processed as they have been received. This can also affect the processing time of your order.
All parcels are shipped in their due time via a Priority Tracked International Shipping. We provide tracking information for each order via an email for further reference. Where possible we ship worldwide from Europe. Please be aware that depending on your final destination, custom fees may apply. Shipping guidelines for the service we use states approximately 10 – 14 working days, however may be longer.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic there may be delays in the shipping which we cannot be responsible for. If you require use of another carrier that offers a guaranteed delivery, kindly contact us via email before placing your order. Kindly note that this usually results in higher shipping fees for your order.
Should a parcel get considerably delayed during shipping, it is our responsibility to file a claim with the carrier to investigate further. Please be aware that the carriers have their own processing times for the claim which are not under our control. These can be up to 12 weeks for international parcels and during this time we will be in contact with the carrier and also inform our customer of any updates. If the parcel is considered lost we provide a full refund on your order.
We do not typically determine the final price of our products offered by our collaborators. However, we recommend that the final selling price is increased by approx. 80 – 120 % of the buying price. We also do not determine any sales, however recommend a percentage no lower than 30% of the final selling price.
We do not typically receive requests for a refund, however if you are not happy with your order, please contact us and we will review your claim. We are happy to issue refunds on orders where we have made an error such as use of wrong material, poorly made dress, processing times not followed as promised or if a parcel has been lost during shipping. However, we cannot refund custom orders based on change of mind or items unsold in wholesale.
Brand Identity and Rights
We consider all our work part of our brand’s identity. Please do not change, repurpose or copy any of our physical or digital work. We do not ask our collaborators to present our brand as makers with our products, however please do not change the identity of any products purchased for wholesale. Kindly be aware that we reserve the right to terminate collaboration with any brand that does not respect our Terms & Conditions and the originality of our work.
None of our products can be used for other than personal use or offered in further sale without prior agreement from us.

We are currently planning to include our past collaborations on our website as part of our experience. We may contact you to gain a permission to include a logo on our website. We never share any details of the collaboration with any other party.
As we receive messages and comments about our work from our customers, we include some of the information on our website. This includes first name and some or all of the feedback. We reserve the right to share this information publicly in case of public comments we receive. However, we obtain a written consent first before publishing if we receive the feedback in a private message.
